Friday Oct. 14th 2011

Hello, everyone.  Of course, Amber isn't actually writing this, but we hope it helps all of you out there to know how things are going, until she can talk to you herself.

This has been a roller coaster and we are going to try to keep you updated on Amber's status.  We will post here daily so that each of you can know the facts, straight from her family.

As of today, Amber woke up and talked to her dad for a bit.  She is in and out of sleep and the doctors are still working on getting her blood pressure and heart rate down to normal.  She does have some difficulty remembering things right now due to head trauma.  We will just have to wait and see how she does this weekend and pray that this improves with some more rest.  Her back surgery went well and her leg will get a more detailed repair job next week.  It looks good though, according to the orthopedic surgeon.

No visitors yet, but if you would like to write a note of encouragement to Amber, you may leave it at the school office.  They will see to it that it goes to the hospital for you.  Keep praying and sending her your positive thoughts and we will keep you posted.
